   Management

Ted - Founder/Owner Camp Diggity Dogs, May 2007 As the founder and owner of Camp Diggity Dogs, Ted oversees all aspects of the operations, and hand picks almost all of the staff, to ensure the best possible care. He opened Camp Diggity Dogs in 2007, living in the facility, and working sunrise to sunset daily to get things going. With a degree from Johns Hopkins University, and a background in medical physiology and computer programming, Ted's love for dogs brought him to San Diego with the goal to open a camp for dogs, where dogs could enjoy a better life. He hated seeing dogs in cages while their owners were out of town, or seeing dogs stuck indoors all day while their owners worked, and saw the all-indoor doggy daycare as not the ideal life for dogs either.

Since high school, Ted has been caring for his own and other people's dogs. In addition to all the hours he has spent with the dogs at camp, he spends hours nearly every day at dog parks, observing and learning about how dogs interact, and how to get dogs to obey and respect you. He has attended professional grooming school, taken several training classes, and has done much informal dog training. He has read numerous books and countless articles on dog behavior and psychology, written papers on dog behavior, worked at veterinarian offices, with rescue groups, and is skilled at understanding dogs' body language, as well as calming and controlling dogs. He currently owns two rescue pointer mixes, Tanner and Lydia. If there's anything you need, which our other staff can't help with, feel free to email us, and Ted will respond quickly.
